Our oils are hand-made by us, using a mild ratio of plant to oil. We have found that lower strength ratios processed the way we do, deliver as good of a result as higher strength, without dangerous or unwanted effects. We feel it is safer to use these around family and pets than more concentrated products. (see cautions below). We order our herbs fresh and gently dry them. If we run out before the next year's delivery of fresh herbs, we use newly dried herbs from suppliers we trust and use ourselves. After combining the herbs and the oil, we infuse the jars with a very low heat for a short time, then steep at room temperature in darkness for several weeks depending on the plant, the parts we use and the outside temperature. Finally, we heat our oils after straining out the plant material using a slow warming process to destroy unwanted germs but that also preserves the delicate healing constituents. We store in a cool dark place. Time, care and prayer are important to our process.
Our herbal oils have a lighter and milder scent than many products out there today because we infuse our oils using time and whole plant parts, not just the volatile (essential) oil. We do not distill them or concentrate them in any way. See About Our Products Page for more information. All of our creations are handmade using organic olive oil, organic freshly dried herbs from trusted sources we use or wild harvested by us, ethically with great attention & care. If you would like a certain blend, we can make it for you.
